ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – An investigation into gunshots near the Commons is underway.

Officers with the Ithaca Police Department (IPD) were called to the 100 block of East Green Street around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a fight involving multiple people and the sound of gunfire. Police say a nearby building shows damage consistent with gunshots, and additional evidence collected confirms a shooting. Most of the allegedly involved parties left before the police arrived.
