WAVERLY, NY (607NewsNow) – An investigation is underway at a school district in the Southern Tier.

According to the Waverly Police Department, an incident occurred on June 3 involving a student and a school resource officer.

Officials say no further details will be released at this time in order to “maintain the integrity of the investigation and protect the privacy of those involved.” Waverly PD adds they are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for both students and staff and will share more updates “as appropriate.”
