AUBURN NY, (CortacaToday) – A Seneca Falls man has been indicted in Cayuga County.

Brandon Carlson is accused of beating a dog to death in Springport on November 28, 2023. The 39-year-old allegedly placed the animal’s body in a roadway afterwards to hide what he’d done.  Carlson was indicted on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, on felony charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and tampering with physical evidence.

According to the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, Carlson could face a maximum sentence of up to 4 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 6, 2024.
