ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — After several months of meeting regularly, the Ithaca City School District and Ithaca Teachers Association are taking a break from bargaining.

Kathryn Cernera, president of the ITA, tells WHCU both sides will return to the table in September.

When ICSD classrooms are full again in the fall, Cernera says teachers will be paid under terms of the current deal.

The current contract for Ithaca’s teachers will end on June 30, 2025.
