ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A new districtwide safety plan is under review in the Ithaca City School District.

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown discussed some of the revisions Dec. 9 on Ithaca’s Morning News.

The revised plan proposal also includes announcements about after-school events, Brown said.

Brown added there’s also a focus on temperatures that get too hot, which is a new requirement from New York State.

Ithaca’s Board of Education, which must approve the plan, will hold a public hearing in their board room at 400 Lake Street on Jan. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
