ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A children’s toy sold at Target is being recalled.

Huffy has pulled its 12-volt Ride-On Tonka Dump Trucks from shelves because of a fire and burn hazard.

Officials say they’ve received three reports of the controller overheating, including one fire, but no injuries. The company advises consumers to stop using the product and contact Huffy for a controller replacement.

Affected Product Details

  • Model Number – 17362, and 17323
  • Date Codes – Range from 15623 to 18724 (printed on label under body of the truck)

The truck was sold online and in-store at Target and Sam’s Club from June 2023 to March 2025.
