ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A homicide investigation is underway in Ithaca.

On July 24, officers were called to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of Elmira Road around 8:30 p.m.

When units arrived, the victim, 54-year-old Edward Warren, of Ithaca, was being assisted by bystanders. Bangs Ambulance EMTs began immediate care, and Warren was taken by medevac to a regional trauma center, where he later died.

The NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting IPD.
