HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) — A longtime lawmaker in the Village of Homer is saying farewell.

Trustee Kevin Slack is resigning because he’s moving away. He wishes the village “tremendous success and prosperity.”

Slack has served on the Board of Trustees for over a decade. His final day in office will be Friday, Feb. 28.

Homer Mayor Pat Clune said Slack has been a foundation of stability, support, and common sense.

Trustee Ed Finkbeiner said Slack has been the “voice of the people.”
