HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) — Homer’s town supervisor is responding to a threat.
Michael Park says he received an anonymous letter on Wednesday requesting his resignation by last Friday or take the risk of “unpleasant things” happening to him, his family, and business. The letter accuses Park of profiting from a proposed billboard resolution and ignoring “wishes of the people.”

Park sent 607NewsNow his letter of response, which reads in part:

Meanwhile, the Homer Town Board is holding a special meeting tonight. Discussions will continue about potential changes to zoning laws, which could green light electronic billboards on I-81. The board plans to review a presentation, which is also being featured during tonight’s meeting. Public comment will also be allowed.
The special meeting, which is being held at the Pat Hill Community Building on South Main Street, begins at 6:30.
