HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – No injuries after a close call in Homer.

On June 22, firefighters were called to Dillon Road around 7:50 a.m. for a reported lightning strike to a house.

When crews arrived, they found the structure had not caught fire but was smoky and damaged. According to the Home Fire Department, the scene was turned over to the Town of Homer Code Enforcement Department.
