HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) — Change is coming to the Homer Highway Department.

In the new year, Kyle Bean will become the acting highway superintendent. He’ll replace current superintendent John Phelps, who’s retiring after over 20 years.

Phelps will stay on the job through the end of December.
