HOMER, NY (CortacaToday) – A local fire department has been honored by its regional counterparts.

The Central New York Regional Emergency Medical Services Council has named the Homer Fire Department “EMS Agency of the Year.”  The Homer Fire Department will be officially recognized for its work in 2023 at an awards ceremony in Syracuse this September.

The CNY EMS region spans Cortland, Tompkins, Cayuga, Onondaga, and Oswego Counties.
