HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – You can learn all about mental health in Homer.

On October 30, a Mental Health Workshop for parents, teachers, and caregivers with middle or high school-aged children/students will happen at Homer High School.

The discussion, titled Ending the Silence and led by NAMI Finger Lakes, is open to the broader community, not just those within the district. It will focus on recognizing warning signs of declining mental health and where to go from there, including how to talk to the young person and work with school staff.

Attendees will learn about key facts and statistics and have the opportunity to ask questions. Register here.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, with a light dinner and childcare sign-in at 5 p.m. Childcare services are only available to families within the district.
