ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – The vibrant art community of Tompkins County invites art lovers and curious minds to join the annual Greater Ithaca Art Trail on the weekends of October 12, 13, and 19, 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. With over 30 studios opening their doors, this event promises a diverse showcase of talent and creativity.

Visitors can explore the “Artists & Who is Open” page at ArtTrail.com to discover the wide array of artists participating and find out who will be open each weekend. Registration is requested for attendees.

In addition to the studio visits, participants can look forward to an exciting raffle featuring 20 chances to win fantastic prizes, with the drawing scheduled for October 11.

Enhancing the experience, the event will also feature free Zoom Evening Artist Talks on Wednesday and Thursday, October 16 and 17, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each evening, eight talented artists will showcase their work and engage in inspiring discussions. Registration is required, with more details available on the event page at ArtTrail.com.

This year, the Art Trail will highlight the contributions of local high school students. Two studios will feature young artists showcasing their work. June Szabo’s studio, open the first weekend only near Trumansburg, will host Trumansburg High School students Sofia Shaff, known for her detailed colored pencil drawings, and Scott Hemeneway, who explores the human figure and symbolism.

Gina Inzinna’s studio in Brooktondale will be open both weekends and will feature special guest Charlie Inzinna, an Ithaca High School junior presenting his ceramic sculptures, paintings, and photography.

The Art Trail invites the community to celebrate local artistry and inspire the next generation of creators. For questions, contact programs@artspartner.org and visit the Greater Ithaca Art Trail website here.
