BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) — Funeral services will be held for a fallen firefighter in Binghamton.

On Feb. 12, crews battled a blaze near the intersection of Main Street and Court Street. Firefighter John ‘JR’ Gaudet died in the line of duty.

Gaudet’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Binghamton. The church will then hold a funeral mass on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Gaudet is survived by his wife and three young children. A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for his family.
