BARTON, NY (607NewsNow) — A fugitive in Tioga County is under arrest.

Sheriff Gary Howard says Nicholas Whitmarsh was caught Friday after his office received an anonymous tip he was hiding out in Barton. Whitmarsh, who’s 31, was wanted on burglary charges in Pennsylvania.

Whitmarsh was also charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration for allegedly fleeing from deputies before he was apprehended.
