ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A baby formula sold at Target is being recalled for safety.
According to the FDA, a variety of Nara Organics Whole Milk Powdered Infant Formulas may be contaminated with a bacterium that causes botulism.
There have been 3 hospitalizations associated with the use of the Nara. The affected infants were exposed to three specific product lots. However, Nara is pulling all lots currently on the market out of an abundance of caution. Customers are advised to immediately discontinue using the product and contact Nara for a refund.
The formula was sold in all Target stores, Target.com, and Nara.com between July 2025 and June 2026.

Infant botulism is rare but can be potentially fatal. Symptoms include constipation, poor feeding, drooping eyelids, sluggish pupils, low muscle tone, difficulty sucking and swallowing, weak or altered cries, general weakness, difficulty breathing, and respiratory arrest.
