CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – A Cortland County man is in custody after an investigation into sex abuse allegations.
On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Paul Andre, of Solon, was arrested and charged after surrendering at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Warrants in the Town of Solon and the Village of Homer were issued after CCSO received complaints in September 2024. Andre is reportedly a former Homer High School teacher, employed in the district from 1993 through September 2024.
The 56-year-old is accused of subjecting a victim to inappropriate sexual contact in Homer and Solon between September 2006 and June 2008. Authorities say the victim was the same in both crimes and was known to Andre.
Andre faces eight felonies in total, four counts of rape and four counts of a criminal sexual act.
