CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A trial is underway for a former Homer schoolteacher accused of sexual crimes.

On March 11, Paul Andre, of Solon, pled not guilty to four counts of rape and four counts of criminal sexual act, according to the Cortland Standard. The 56-year-old is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with someone known to him in Homer and Solon between September 2006 and June 2008.

Andre, who was at the time a Homer Central School District art teacher of 21 years, turned himself in to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office in October 2024.
