SYRACUSE, NY (607NewsNow) — Everyone is safe after a fire in Syracuse.
On Oct. 14, crews were called to a two-apartment home on Valley Drive. The Syracuse Fire Department said “heavy smoke” was coming from the second floor and attic.
It took crews about one hour to completely extinguish the flames. The home sustained water, fire, and smoke damage.
The Syracuse Fire Department said the blaze was caused by a juvenile playing with fire on a second-floor porch.
The American Red Cross is assisting eight residents who were displaced.
