ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Fire departments across the state will hold recruiting and open house events this weekend.

The annual RecruitNY campaign, sponsored by the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY), will kick off at multiple locations in New York, including Tompkins, Cortland, Tioga, and other area counties.

Tompkins County

  • Varna Volunteer Fire Company -April 26 & 27, Noon to 2 p.m.
  • Enfield Volunteer Fire Company – April 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Neptune Hose Company #1 (Dryden) – April 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Neriton Volunteer Fire Company #9 – Ithaca Fire Department – April 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eagles Club -161 Cecil A. Malone Drive

Cortland County

  • Homer Fire Department – April 26 & 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tioga County

  • Owego Fire Department – April 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Campville Fire Department – April 26, Noon to 3 p.m.
  • Spencer Fire Company – April 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Apalachin Fire Department – April 27, Noon to 3 p.m.
  • Tioga Center Fire Department – April 26, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
