BURDETT, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities in Schuyler County are investigating a fatal accident.

On September 12, deputies were called to Route 227 in Burdett around 6:40 p.m. for a tractor rollover.

Investigators say the victim was towing an overweight trailer, lost control rounding a curve, and was ejected. He was taken to Robert Packer Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The victim has not been identified, pending notification of family.

In related news, earlier that day in Burdett, also on Route 227, a man on a motorcycle lost control rounding a turn, left the roadway, and was ejected.

He was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital. Authorities did not provide an update on the victim’s condition.
