DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) –New York State is investing in Dryden.
Governor Kathy Hochul announced yesterday that the village has been awarded $4.5 million to revitalize the original downtown business section of West Main Street.
“We are incredibly excited and grateful that the Village of Dryden has been awarded $4.5 million from the NY Forward Grant Program! This achievement represents the culmination of a collaborative effort between the Village Board, our dedicated staff, the Dryden Business Association and passionate community members. With the combined support of state and private funding, the Village of Dryden is poised to transform into a thriving destination for new businesses and families,” Mayor Michael Murphy said. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to Governor Hochul for this incredible program and for recognizing the potential of the Village of Dryden. Together, we are building a brighter future for our residents and businesses!”
It’s the second year in a row a Tompkins County village has won a grant through the NY Forward program, after Groton took home the prize in 2024.
