DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Work is beginning on a cell phone ban.
After state lawmakers approved Governor Hochul’s Bell to Bell ban on cell phones in classrooms, Josh Bacigalupi in the Dryden Central School District says they’re forming a committee to review the legislation.
Bacigalupi says the committee will be keeping busy after the school year ends.
The ban is part of the 2026 state budget. It’ll go into effect this summer.
