Aurora, NY (CortacaToday) – If you live in Cayuga County, officials want to hear from you.

The villages of Aurora, Cayuga, and Union Springs were the co-winners of a $10 million Downtown Revitalization grant for development in February. The three villages were praised by Governor Kathy Hochul for their creativity in combining their application as “Cayuga County’s Quaint Lakeside Village Corridor.”

A local planning committee has narrowed the list of potential projects to 29, and they want feedback from residents. Potential projects include the renovation and repurposing of historic buildings, mixed-use developments, creation of and additions to area parks, housing, commercial and recreation developments, and more.

The survey provides details on all potential projects. You’ll be asked if the projects align with the DRI vision and goals and encourage additional development in the DRI region. You’ll additionally be asked to rank each proposal on a scale of 1 to 10 and provide additional comments. All answers are confidential.

The chosen projects are expected to be announced sometime in the spring of 2025.
