LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) – A 24-year-old man is recovering after an incident in the Village of Lansing but likely faces legal trouble.
On August 31, members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) were called to a reported stabbing at an apartment complex on Graham Road around 11:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they found Thomas Henry with a severe wound to his abdomen. According to TCSO, Henry said he accidentally stabbed himself while falling down a flight of stairs, and he was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
No signs of foul play were found in the investigation; however, it was discovered that Henry had an outstanding warrant in Syracuse for a parole violation. NYS Parole was notified of the event and alerted to Henry’s whereabouts.
