DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) — Authorities are investigating a threat in the Dryden Central School District.

In a voice message to parents last night, Superintendent Josh Bacigalupi stated an elementary school student discussed Wednesday bringing a knife into class today. Bacigalupi says the comment was assessed and found no specific or credible threat, adding that local police are now involved.

Schools in the district will open as scheduled this morning.
