PARIS, FRANCE (CortacaToday) – Lansing native Kyle Dake will not win gold, but could still win a medal in Paris.
In his third match of the day, the Cornell alum was defeated by Japanese wrestler Daichi Takatani on Friday afternoon by a final score of 20-12. It was a tough result for Dake, who returned to the Olympics as the top seed and gold-medal favorite in his weight class.

Dake will hit the mat for his first match tomorrow at 1:15 p.m. EST in pursuit of his second bronze medal, after winning one in the 2021 Tokyo games.
A watch party is set for the Lansing Community Center tomorrow, sponsored by Wildlife Resolutions.
