ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Arizona-based company has voluntarily recalled cucumbers sold at multiple grocery chains.

SunFed says its bulk-seeded cucumbers could be contaminated by salmonella. The products have been pulled off shelves after nearly 70 people in 19 states have become ill. In New York, the cukes were sold at Wegmans stores between October 12, 2024, and November 27, 2024. Affected products should be thrown out or returned for a full refund.

According to Wegmans, the cucumbers have individual stickers with the “SunFed” logo and a PLU sticker code 4062. Wegmans says cucumbers currently on store shelves are not affected, and customers who purchased the product with a credit or debit card have been notified.
