ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) — Road maintenance crews in Ulysses are keeping busy.

Highway Superintendent Scott Stewart says he’ll work with New York State Parks to repaint crosswalks near the Black Diamond Trail and Taughannock Park.

Touching on the salt shortage, Stewart says he’s mixing in sand to help stretch the supply.

Nearby in Cayuga Heights, crews have spread around 500 tons of salt so far this winter.
