ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Federal officials warn a product for infants is dangerous.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Jocute Baby Loungers do not meet the mandatory standard for infant sleep products and pose a risk of serious injury or death.

Officials say the sides of the product are too low to contain a child, and the enclosed openings at the foot of the loungers are wider than allowed, which poses a fall and entrapment risk to infants. Additionally, the sleeping pad poses a suffocation hazard because it’s too thick, and without a stand, the lounger is dangerous on elevated surfaces.

Parents and caregivers are advised to discontinue using the product immediately. About 40,000 were sold on Amazon.com between January 2024 and July 2025.
