At the Cortlandville Town Board meeting this evening, lawmakers plan to discuss a temporary ban on wind energy. The town attorney would be tasked with drafting the moratorium.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building. Residents are welcome to attend.
Elsewhere in Cortland County, the Preble Town Board recently approved a temporary ban on wind energy conversion systems. Moratoriums on solar energy systems and battery energy storage systems were also approved by the board.
