CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — When it comes to passing a spending plan, Cortland’s school district is getting ready to try again.

Superintendent Bob Edwards tells WHCU he thinks he knows why voters said no last week to the 2025 to 2026 budget draft.

Tonight, Cortland’s Board of Education will certify results from the May 20 budget vote. Edwards says they’ll be ready for the state-mandated re-vote.

Voters in the district return to the polls on June 17th.
