CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Leaders in Cortland are pursuing a $500,000 award.

The funding would come from the New York Main Street Anchor Grant Program. The money would help renovate the Cortland Standard building.

On July 15, Cortland’s Common Council unanimously agreed to apply for the award.

In related news, a Cortland laundromat will receive funding. The city has granted about $29,000 to K&J Laundry Lounge on Main Street through the Microenterprise Assistance Program.
