CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Cortland County officials are excited about a federal grant.
The county is getting roughly $1.9 million to help with lead and radon remediation in about 100 homes. Public Health Director Nicole Anjeski said the Health Department is thrilled.
“We’re really excited,” she said. “This is our first federal grant that we got on our own that wasn’t filtered through the state.”
Anjeski said only two such grants were awarded in New York – the other is going to the Bronx.
