CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Two political positions in Cortland County are getting raises.

Last week, legislators approved higher salaries for the election commissioners. The Democratic and Republican commissioner will each make $59,254 next year, up from the $57,528 they currently earn.

All legislators voted in favor of the pay bumps.

In related news, Ithaca’s mayor does not want a raise.
