CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – The Cortland County Airport will benefit from federal assistance.

The Chase Field Airport receives a $420,000 grant for critical infrastructure work through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program. It will be used for taxiway reconstruction and shifting. It’s part of $59.1 million announced last week heading to 26 airports across the state.

The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport was also awarded nearly $2.7 million for improvements, including a new aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle.
