CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cortland eatery is changing its business model.

In a July 16 Facebook post, East Side Bakery says its dedicated location will no longer be open to the public. However, the bakery will soon begin taking pick-up orders by email, and through a website, which is currently under construction.

The move comes after the Elm Street staple reduced hours in January for what the bakery called a slight transitional period. In late June, the company announced it would shut down for two weeks for a summer vacation.

Owners say they’ll share more details about the new phase soon.
