CORNING, NY (607NewsNow) — Corning’s town supervisor is charged with three felonies.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard says Jennifer Mullen was arrested Tuesday for receiving over $1,000 in benefits from the New York State Labor Department to which she was not entitled. Mullen, who’s 45, is charged with offering a false instrument for filing, falsifying business records, and grand larceny.
Mullen tells WENY-TV the charges are a “purely personal matter” and “the election will not be impacted.” Sheriff Allard says the charges against Mullen, who was issued an appearance ticket, are not connected to her job.
