ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cornell men’s lacrosse team is celebrating a major milestone.
On Saturday against Dartmouth, senior CJ Kirst tallied his 225th career goal. The score broke the record for most all-time goals in NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse.
Kirst was swarmed by senior Michael Long, senior Andrew Dalton, and other Big Red teammates after the score.
Kirst added another goal later in the contest, leading Cornell to a 10-8 victory.
Up next for the Big Red is a home game against Yale. The matchup starts at 4 p.m. on Friday.
