ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — A Cornell professor is taking the side of striking workers.
Risa Lieberwitz teaches labor and employment law at the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Since the strike of nearly 1,200 Cornell employees began on Sunday night, the subject of Cornell’s $10 billion endowment has been a focus. Lieberwitz says one problem is a distribution of wealth.
Cornell has defended the endowment, saying they are bound by regulations. Meantime, the United Auto Workers and Cornell negotiators have reportedly returned to the bargaining table.
