Freshman pitcher Ross Yoshida has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Year. According to Cornell Athletics, Yoshida is the fourth Big Red player to win the award.

The Orchard Park, NY native struck out 42 batters in just over 43 innings this season. Yoshida wrapped up the year with a 2.89 ERA.
