ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cornell men’s hockey team will have many new faces next season.
The team is adding Chris Brown as an assistant coach. He most recently served as associate head coach at Alaska Fairbanks.
“I’m excited to pour my heart into working for this outstanding hockey program along with its loyal fan base,” Brown said. “Cornell University and Big Red athletics are the perfect combination of world-class opportunities, so it’s humbling to become part of these communities.”
In addition to the coaching staff, the roster will see change. 14 new players will be on the team next season, including a dozen freshmen.
Defenseman Donovan Hamilton is the only newcomer from Upstate New York. Cornell’s coaching staff believes the Buffalo native will bring size and leadership to the Big Red.
