ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Cornell law students are being credited for saving a dog’s life.
A Great Dane was recently sentenced to death after it allegedly bit someone in Steuben County. The Cornell Chronicle reports the owner of the dog, disabled army veteran Ana Chan, says she didn’t see the bite.
Students and staff with the Veterans Law Practicum successfully appealed the matter in court. Adjunct Law Professor Jimmy Hardwick said “nobody else” would have taken the case.
The pup now must wear a muzzle in public.
