Cornell is making changes to the men’s basketball coaching staff. Nat Graham will return to the Big Red as associate head coach, third-year assistant coach Jalen Hayes is getting more involved with the program, and operations director Luke Colwell will become an assistant coach. Taking over in operations is Ilan Kinder.

“I am thrilled for Nat and Ilan to join the Cornell Athletics community and to announce Jalen and Luke’s well-deserved promotions,” head coach Jon Jaques said. “All four are passionate and creative thinkers who I know will continue to elevate the student-athlete experience of our players.”

Earlier this week, the university announced 6 new players joining the team for the 2025-26 season.

Meantime, a former Cornell wrestler is taking a lead coaching role. Jimmy Overhiser has been named head coach at Mercyhurst. Overhiser was a 2015 state champion at Lansing High School. He’s previously coached at Drexel and Army West Point.
