CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — A man accused of shooting a Cortland police officer is going to prison.
Zachary Clark was sentenced Thursday to 35 years to life behind bars for attempted murder. Clark, who’s 28, was convicted in June of shooting at an officer in March 2020 during a domestic violence call. The officer survived.
Clark was also sentenced to 20 years on charges of assault and aggravated assault on a police officer. Cortland County District Attorney Patrick Perfetti says Clark will serve both sentences at the same time.
