ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – The City of Ithaca’s Building Division is having an Electrical Licensing Exam next month.
To be eligible, you must have 3.5 years of experience as an electrician or an electrician’s apprentice. Officials say the test is not multiple choice and will require code citations and longer calculations. The examination fee is $100, which will be applied to the annual license fee for people who pass.
The 3-hour exam is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 8 a.m. on the third floor of City Hall in the Council Chamber Conference Room. You will not be permitted to take the test if you arrive late.

Applications to take the test must be received by December 4, 2024. Click here to learn more and apply.
