CINCINNATUS, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cincinnatus man is accused of stealing.
On July 3, Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Dollar General on Route 26 just before 10 p.m. for a reported larceny.
The following day, William George was arrested. Authorities say the 47-year-old took and damaged merchandise. George allegedly had drugs on him when he was located and arrested on July 4.
He is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor petit larceny.
George is scheduled to appear in Cincinnatus Town Court on July 16.
