SHERBURNE, NY (607NewsNow) — A Chenango County man is accused of setting a car on fire.

State Police say 43-year-old Delbert Dewey purposefully started a fire inside a vehicle last Saturday after a disagreement earlier in the day with people living on Classic Street in Sherburne. Delbert was arrested the following day and charged with arson and criminal mischief, both of which are felonies.

Following his arraignment, Dewey was sent to the Chemung County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
