CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – New resources for addiction are available in Cortland County.
On January 6, Cayuga Health affiliate Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS) launched an opioid treatment program on Euclid Avenue in the City of Cortland. Funded by the Healing Cortland project, the program offers treatment for opiate use disorders, including methadone, counseling, Hepatitis C treatment, and peer services.
“CARS offers treatment to those with substance use disorders in the most convenient means possible to them,” said Cayuga Health Ambulatory Services COO Jeff Penoyer. “This multi-faceted opioid treatment program offers new options for people who need services here in Cortland, where they live and work.”
CARS Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health Sciences Julie Steele said they are proud to provide proven, evidence-based services and support.
